I would like to share with you about one person named Muhammad Sa. He works as an employee for a foreign company. I was taking him from one place to another and was about to drop him off. During the short time we had together on the way, I started a conversation with him and shared the truth with him directly and clearly.
I said to him, “Look, you are working hard in this world and making a living in this world, but the real preparation is not only for this world—it is for eternity. We are working for this mortal body, which will one day return to dust. But the most important question is: What will happen to your soul? Where will your soul go?” Muhammad Sa__ said, “Brother, you are absolutely right.” I asked him, “What preparation are you making for that?” He gave the answer that many of our Muslim brothers commonly give: “We should do good deeds and perform good actions.”
So I asked him, “My friend, everyone says these things. But tell me something deeper: Have you done enough good deeds? Do you have enough good deeds to stand before God in heaven, who is one hundred percent holy and pure?” He said, “Brother, no one can say for certain whether they have enough good deeds or not.” I said, “Look, you cannot make yourself right before God simply through good works. The Bible says that our righteousness is like filthy rags before God.” Then I said, “If you give me permission, I can tell you, even in this short amount of time, about the way of salvation and the way to eternal life.”
He said, “Yes, please tell me.” So I started from Adam and spoke about the prophecies concerning the Messiah. Finally, I brought him to Christ. I explained how Christ came into this world, was born through a virgin woman, and gave His life on the cross for all humanity. He died, was buried, and on the third day He rose from the dead and ascended into heaven. I said to him, “Look, this is the greatest demonstration of the quality of God’s love: God sent a righteous and holy One to forgive you and me, so that through Him people could be made clean and righteous before God. Through one man, sin entered the world, and through another came salvation and eternal life. That Savior is Christ, Jesus Christ—the One whom you call Isa.”
He was very amazed by what he heard. Unfortunately, I did not have a Bible with me at that moment, so I could not give him one. But I hope that we have planted a seed of the Gospel in his life. He was very encouraged and joyful. He told me, “Brother, I have very little time right now. I am going somewhere for some work, otherwise your words have really encouraged me.” Please pray that the seed of the Gospel that has been planted in Muhammad Sa__’s life will bear fruit, that God will continue working in his heart, that he will truly become a follower of Christ, and that the Lord will set him free and bring him into His Kingdom.
