An Imam (Muslim leader or guide) comes from another nation into one nearby. An evangelist hands him a New Testament to read for himself. He starts at the beginning in the first gospel Matthew and comes to the Sermon on the Mount in chapter 5. This was a message that Jesus probably gave frequently as he traveled about with his disciples.
He comes to the verse in Matthew 5:37 where Jesus says. “But let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No.’ For whatever is more than these is from the evil one.” It stops him in his tracks. He muses, “In Islam I am allowed to lie to someone six different ways”, but Jesus Christ is the Way the Truth and the Life. He said therefore Islam is false and Jesus is true. As a result, he committed his life to Christ and was baptized soon afterward.
